Ошибка установки pkgconfig через macports

Я установил Macports 1.8.2 от DMG. Это, казалось, установить нормально. Я побежал, sudo port selfupdateчтобы убедиться, что мое дерево портов было текущим. Я только недавно установил Xcode 3.2.2 (до установки macports). Правильно ли я думаю, что это проблема здесь:

configure: error: C compiler cannot create executables

Переустановка Xcode с инструментами разработки UNIX позволила мне установить pkgconfig.
