Когда вы запрашиваете информацию WHOIS для google.com, он ищет «google.com» во всех записях, а не привязывает шаблон к концу, как вы ожидаете.

И это зависит от клиента WHOIS и каких серверов он настроен для использования. Пару лет назад я провел небольшое исследование по настройке внутренней службы WHOIS (я работаю в университете, поэтому у нас много маленьких феодальных владений и множество сетей), и, насколько я могу судить, в данных была очень небольшая непротиворечивая структура форматы, поэтому клиенты должны использовать много эвристики, чтобы выяснить рефералов и тому подобное. Я предполагаю, что dnsstuff и godaddy, возможно, имеют более настроенную эвристику. Так что вы можете просто попробовать другой клиент.

Сделайте запрос whois со знаком равенства в начале непосредственно перед именем домена. То, что вы видите - это просто тщеславные серверы имен, созданные в реестре, как бесполезная шутка (без технических последствий).
